What torque setting are recommended for front wheel bearings...and any tips or other thing to be aware of pls..

No torque setting required. Spin the wheel and tighten the nut fairly snug while the wheel spins, then back off the nut to finger tight and let the weight of a 12" adjustable wrench straight out at 3 o'clock be the amount of tightness.

In other words, very lightly snug. If the cotter doesn't line up, I'd rather be a hair loose than extra tight.

There are no torque spec.s for front bearings . Tighten nut to remove all play in bearings and a little more to line up cotter pin .

Its done by feel , to tight or to loose will ruin bearings ,..

Tom just explained the procedure to you, do it that way and you will never go wrong, I guess I am a little different I would like my bearing a little to tight rather to loose, a loose bearing can let the rollers turn a little and run side ways in the race and ruin both bearing and race
