Is there a difference between Standard and Delux top irons? If so how do you tell the difference? Pics attached for reference. Thanks in advance any information.

I'll chime in with a heads-up for you, but the pros here will have to fill in the details: The height of the windshield on a deluxe model is a couple of inches shorter than on a standard model. Therefore, to make the tops look right on both cars. the top irons are "shorter" for the deluxe. The canvas would be cut correspondingly shorter as well. (Correct me if i'm off base pros!?...)

These appear to be deluxe. The standards are like the 28-29 which were like the Model T. They are all black and hollow and the cross-section is the letter 'D'.

As mentioned, those are Deluxe folding irons. The standard tops had tubular bow sockets. Additionally, in 1930 Ford did away with the full "scissor" mechanism on the Standard Roadster. Sorry, I don't have a full pic handy.
