3 X 2 intakes

Can anyone tell me if there is a 3 X 2 intake that fits on the 35 24 stud and accomodates the original generator mounting?
Thanks

I dont think so. There is just not enough room up there. The generator must be mounted on the head. 35 engines were 21 stud but thats not going to make a difference on the intake but if it is a 21 stud I dont think the generator can be moved to the head because of the water pump mounting.

What Ken said, plus a 3x2 is too much for a 35 engine. In fact it's too much for any flathead that's basically stock.

An early trick was to mount a 97 (Stromberg) or 94 (Holley) in the center bracketed by 81s (Stromberg) or 92s (Holley) with progressive linkage.

there are brackets to mount a generator above water pump on 32-36 -21 stud engines , I have a couple -NOT FOR SALE- the only issue is your fan !
Cheers

I would consider using a 2 X 2 Manifold that will allow for mounting the generator in the stock location. If you feel you need more carburetion, you can always use two Stromberg 48s which are readly available and will flow a lot more air then 97s. This way there would be no issues with a fan and I can not feel a street driven 21 stud would ever need more carburetion then two 48s.

Again, this is just my opinion,

Chris

I like the 3X2 for street the progressive linkage can be made to open the end secondarys at 2/3 throttle and only open 1/2. Obviously this is a street setup but opening 3 duces on most Flathead only loose power.
