3 speed versus 4 speed

Can someone tell me about how much longer a model A four speed pickup/truck transmission is, front to back than a three speed. Not the clutch housing, just the ****** itself.

The 3 speed is 6 1/2 " long case only .
The 4 speed is 8 3/4" long case only .

These measurements taken off fully assembled transmissions so might not be dead accurate .
