3 spd steering column removal

Ive got a 3 speed od in a 56 Victoria with a 292.whats the procedure to remove the steering column?Thanks

Disconnect everything attached to it at both ends, remove the wheel, unbolt the steering box from the frame and pull it out from the inside of the car. The shaft the wheel attaches to cannot be separated from worm gear inside the box with the box mounted to the frame.
