Mike Peters Well-known member Sep 9, 2021 #2 The standard rear end ratio for a 1930 is 3.78:1, not 3.96:1. Do you have a stock Model A rear axle? If not, then Model A ring and pinion won't fit.

Keith True Well-known member Sep 9, 2021 #3 I've never heard of a 3.96 ratio in an A,but it doesn't matter,the 3.54 just bolts in.No modifications needed.I have them in 3 cars. Last edited: Sep 9, 2021
