Well we didn't get as much accomplished this week as we wanted, but anyprogressis good. The bottom end is finished but the oil oum pickup tube had a hole in it so we had to get another from a friend, nice to have friends with little thinga like this. Ckecked cam back lash and was about o install thr rcam gear when we discovered the plug to the oil galley was missing. I usually have these but I couldn't find one, will look again tomorrow.
We did however install the water pumps and I have a 6" SBC harmonic balancer bored to fit the crank. Next week the valve train.

Ron can you tell me about the 6" sbc dampner? You stated you bored the ID to fit the crank
but does the OD size work with the seal?

What is the benefit? I'm thinking maybe run smoother?

Also how about belt alignment? As you can tell I am interested in doing this.

I am building an 8ba 276 ci. w/a 4" merc crank. If nothing else it would sure look nice.

Thanks

Manuel

Yes, this is in the works right now. I send it out to have the bore increased to the Ford size and the keyway broched to put the timing marks in the right location.. After that you can buy a new shiv or make a new one.
