I read in the judging standards that the 29 tudor was only available with blue hairline cloth and brown check plain panel seats. The 28 30 31 were all available with piped (Pleated???) seats. Does anyone know why the 29 tudor was not offered with the piped seat option.
The only reason I can come up with is it has to do with Ford's struggling production numbers in 1928. I thought ford might have tried to increase production by reducing the time extra time involved with pleats. This is simply a wild guess on my part. Interested in hearing other opinions and I suspect someone will have an "official Ford history" answer.
