Mike, I think if you look at the steering shaft length chart on Vince's site you will find the 29 shaft is the same as the early 30-31 2 tooth steering shaft. Finding an early 29 shaft with splines is going to be difficult. Ford made the change to the tapered shaft in the 2 tooth in the second version as listed in the JS. Finding a decent original 29 steering wheel for them is the hard part. That is why I have passed on afew of the 29 2 tooth columns that have came up. If you find a second splined 2 tooth shaft pass on the contact info as I have the early 2 tooth gear hsg. Just thought I would pass on the info. Rod
