29 Roadster subframe

I am making up a new subframe and floor for a 29 roadster with a rumble seat, is there a cross member under the back edge of the rumble floor pan and the front edge of the curved inner panel? Are the two panels rivited or bolted togeather? Any pictures or info on the makeup of a 40A subframe will sure help. Thanks Dale

Here's a couple of pictures I saved from somewhere when I was assembling my roadster body (ignore labelling). The first cross sill (rivetted in) is located near the front edge of the rumble floor pan. The floor panel and inner curved one were bolted/screwed together. Have quite a few more pic's if there's anything else you're wondering about as you proceed. Good luck.

I am looking for all of this info as well. I have a pile of panels that need put together. I have original quarters with new lower patches installed that need redone, new subrails that have new cross channels welded in, original tulip panel, repop panel below decklid, original decklid, original cowl and A-pillars, and repop floor parts.
My subrails don't seem quite right to me in shape, but I can't say for sure. Also, what bridges the gap between the quarter and A pillar under the door? Should the subrail kick out there or is there some sort of sill panel?

Almost the same parts i have to put together, i live in madison ohio not to far away. But today i have to rake leaves up we had our first snow yesterday.

Well, if i figure anything else out here, I'll be sure to let you know. Do you have any pictures of yours?

Here are a few pics, the last one shows where i was looking for answers.

No cross member the curved rumble panel bolts/screws to the edge of rumble seat riser. Your 1/4 panels and lower panel under rumble lid need to be in place. so you can fasten the red primed curved panel in place. You can assemble every thing and attache that panel last.

The floor panels are riveted to sub rails and cross channels or sills the vendors sell 3/16" x3/8" rivets for floor panels and 1/4"x 3/8" to fasten sub rails to cross sills they also have screw kits for the curved panel Bratton's page 143 shows six 10/32 x 5/8 oval head screws for top edge. And 8 1/4-20 x 1/2 oval head screws lock washers and square nuts for the bottom. I'm not sure on spacing I used my old panels to scribe. I hope this info is correct.

Thanks again, i will start with what i am learning and see what help and questions come next. Thanks!
