29 PU door alignment

Hung the doors early this week. Driver door after a bit of adjustment closes/latches and opens nicely. The passenger door how ever is 1/2 inch low at the latch. My understanding is that to lift the door shim the back of the cowl. Question is how as the PU body block is long running under the cowl to the door piller. How to get enough leverage to lift he entire cowl and cab up to place shims under.

thank you for any suggestions.

the way i shim bodies when im by myself, is i get about a 2 or 3 foot pry bar. Then i sit on the ground, and place that pry bar under the body where it needs to be lifted. Then i put the other end of the bar on my shoulder, and i pick up on my shoulder to lift the body. This allows you to be able to use both hands, the only draw back is if you do a whole body this way, your shoulder is a little sore the next day. If your truck is already painted, wrap the pry bar with some old rags or t-shirts so you dont scratch the paint.

You may find that after you shim the passenger side, you might have to go back and shim the drivers side also because of the body adjustment.
