hello, hoping someone could send me some pictures of how the seat back and seat bottom are mounted.my seat pan has two places where it looks to be for the seat spring frame to mount on but i see nothing on the seat spring to go along with it.i have 4 lower mounting tabs on the seat back wood,i guess that is all that holds the back in.thank you all.

Can you look at my website and see those that are posted there under the Restoration Page? I might have some photos at the shop I may be able to post tomorrow.

thanks brent, beautiful looking open cab truck, looks too nice to drive.been to your website before but hadnt seen that.saw the seat pan with the tabs i guess you call them, mine has them also.now what goes with them.like to check out your shop sometime.i think its not too far from my mothers homeplace/mouth of wilson/grassy creek/fox area

The bottom seat cushion has two heavy wire prongs that project down and snap into the space between the tabs on the seat pan, the back of the bottom cushion rests up against the wooden slats that holds the back cushion in place. These back slats have two flat metal hooks attached near the bottom, toward the seat pan. The bottom of the back cushion is fit to those hooks and the top of the cushion pushed down and snaps into the grove on the bottom of the wooden belt rail that is attached to the top of the back metal panel. This is probably clear is mud, and a picture is worth a thousand words - but I don't have one.

Brent, I always look forward to reading your postings and they have been a great help. Thank you. After reading your response to gpits68 I looked at your website and the RPU restoration pictures. DEFINITELY OLD WORLD CRAFTSMANSHIP. I have a '29 RPU that came with a poorly fitting homemade seat. I want to find the correct seat for it but I don't know what I'm looking for or where to look. I would appreciate looking at any additional pictures you are willing to post showing seat details and any suggestions on where to look. Thank you, Lar.
