29 CCPU rear wood header

Just working on getting the top wood finished up. Questions came about on the rear wood header and need some help here. How far out past the back of the cab does the wood sit? Mine at the moment sits about even with the outside of the verticle strip (Between the cab back and cab corner panels). I have some filing and sanding to do to get it to set down lower on the back. Any help will certainly be appreciated. Thanks

Bob

Bob , i had a problem with mine until i found that that the rear centre panel had had its lip at the top staightened out by previos owner & no matter how i tried the reinforcing bar would not fit , once folded down then it came together, it lines up with the sheet metal now although not finally fitted , mine came with wood kit too , rest seems to fit good with some rounding off & filling gaps . As they are rare here i will get to view some at MAFCA meet in few weeks & see how they was done , Derek in NZ

After fitting the vinyl roof, and my woodwork was done by someone else, I would fit the rear sheetmetal and sides in place and carefully fit the wood to the outside metal , allowing just the thickness of the vinyl roof to make it exactly flush without outside.

Or the hidem won't sit flat over the vinyl and the metal .
