i removed the rad, hood,ft fenders,and ft end..put jack stands under frame,close to rear mt mounts.and jacked up engine a little,engine still in car,.then, drilled and punched out all rivits,the cross member came out easy, because the frame had enough give in it..i put in replacement cross member, and bolted it all to gether with 1/4 bolts..looks like alignment is ok..will try to rivit cross member to frame, this week end..note:need to remove crank pully, and put it back on ,cause cant raise engine enough...job is kinda easy..so far...now i will have correct ft crossmember for a 28.that is, engine bolts to cross member, note..i welded up all cracks in replacement cross member..yep ..old dan is getting to look like his old self...sept 27,1928........thank you..charles..
