i picked-up a 1928 model a coupe, has been restored a few years back, but has been sitting as the owner tells me about 2 years.i noticed the gas tank is dry, what should i do before trying to get her started, should i flush the tank, add oil to the cylinders ect.
1st off - I think we would all like to see some pictures !
I would clean out the carb - take out the plugs and drizzle a little lube in there let it sit for a day or so - clean tank and fuel lines - free off the brakes - inspect the wiring
Have a fire extuinguisher handy - turn it over without plugs in just to loosen it up a bit and then fuel it up and give it a go.
Don't take this as gospel - it is basically what I did to mine although that process took me about 3 months as each time I completed 1 task it highlighted some 'issue' with another component.
