Happy Father's Day Fordbarners! My kids are buying me new stainless steel headlights for my 1929 Tudor. I know there are better halogen bulbs that fit. I run an alternator in my car. What suggestions do you have for vendors, headlights, and bulbs. Thanks.

I didn't know they made stainless steel headlights for '29. Maybe I just haven't been following the market. I thought they were nickel or as a cheap alternative, chrome. The '30-'31's were stainless. Are you 6 or 12 volts (it makes a difference on recommendatons)?

Get the reflectors that are made by Brattons as they have the correct shape for proper focus of standard bulbs.

You can get Halogen bulbs that will focus but they are expensive and you still have the problem with the incorrect shape reflector and vertical placement of the bulb.

One of the hotrod parts manufacturers do a set of SS 28-29 headlights. For some of us downunder, and your not entering judging, they are a cheaper alternative to getting a set of originals replated.
