28-29 fenders

I have a beautiful set of 29 fenders that someone cut wheel wells into. They just wont work on my 29 Sport Coupe as I cant open the door enough to get in if I use them.
Does any one have some junk fenders that might have enough metal left to make patch panels to fill the wells in my fenders?
