28-29 Closed Cab Pickup

Please forgive my lack of knowledge on the subject, but how can I determine the difference between a 1928 and a 1929 Model A Closed Cab Pickup. I am presuming there must have been subtle changes between the two years of manufacture. Thank you in advance for your help.

There are a number of differences between 28 and 29 model A's including pickups, mostly minor. The radiator shell is different, 28's have a single bulb in the headlights, normally 28's have a powerhouse generator, 28's typically have red steering wheels along with other minor differences. However, early 29's like my January phaeton carry over many 28 features. It has single bulb headlights and a 28 radiator shell, among other 28 features like the body mount taillight. Most of the changes between 28 and 29 were minor and it is sometimes difficult to tell them apart.

The 82-A closed cab was used on the A chassis beginning June 1928 - June 1930. The June 1928 82-A had a rear window which was into the rear panel upper molding. Thereafter it was lowered about 4". The location of the side view mirror was on the sunvisor into early 1929. The hinge pillar mounted side view mirror started production in late 1928. That is all of the differences I think of.

The 78-A pickup body (i.e. the cargo body) likely had some differences. Someone may know what those differences are.
