Thought that would get a lot of attention! I'm getting ready to finish my 1928 Open Pickup and not sure of what to do about the top. Living in Southern California I can drive the truck 300 days a year in sunnny weather, not sure I want to put a folding top on it, what about snaps around the bottom so I could remove it without a great deal of hassle. Mostly I will be driving it around town to Home Depot, the local nursery and down to church to work on projects. How have other other owners handled this issue?

Originally the tops were fixed (didn't fold), I believe they were removable.

Originally neither folding nor removable, just another cost savings (less metal). Probably more popular in the southern states.

Call LeBarron Bonney they are selling a convertible top kit for open pickups.

Originally it was fixed. You could put Murphy fasteners around the back so it could be removed as an assembly.

I put snaps on my 28 so I could take it off if I wanted,but I never bothered.I get the wind without the hot sun on me.I never have the top down on my roadster on a hot day either.
