E Ed H Junior Member Aug 27, 2026 #1 Exhaust manifold to exh. pipe nut. turns on 1 1/4turn then jams. Holley vaporizer the threads are SAE 1 7/8"-16. the new nut is imperial 1-1 7/8"-16 there is a 5 degree difference in thread angle. anyone had this problem?

Will N Well-known member Aug 29, 2026 #2 I has to really crank on the nut to get it to seat. I suppose I was kind of cutting a new thread in the brass nut by doing so.
