24 to 27 rad

will a rad for a 27 fit a 27 t does any one know the hight of the two rads looking at a 24 owner says the hood needs new sides because hey are t o short not shur what he means

you need a radiator with a core height of about 20 inches.
low ones were about 18 inches. for years 16-23 maybe some early 24's
hood sides won't help you without a low radiator shell which doesn't work on a 27

The change occurred in 23. The 17 to early 23's had what's referred to as the "low hood". Later 23s and through 25 had what's called the "high hood". These are taller and wider. The 26-27s use the same "high" radiator but the hoods are wider longer and taller. So no, you can't just interchange the sides to make a newer hood.
