Have one of the guys in my club with a '49 F-1 with a tired six .. Is bored at .40 over now. I am not sure .60 is too much. Anyone familar with these....... Thanks Dude")
 
I've got a .060" over 226 in a '51 2-door. I've driven it 25,000 miles plus with no problems. It does not overheat or burn oil.
 
HI; See if you can find a 49-51 M series six block and head. Direct swap with a bigger bore, 254 in. or so.
They were in F-6 and larger trucks. California Bill's
