The stock front crossmember for a Y-block is a channel piece that runs from right to left frame rail behind the existing 223 mount. The bellhousing mounts are the same but the bellhousing is different between the two motors.
thanx for the info. i thought maybe the truck would have been set up for each considering both motors were offered in 54. is the factory crossmember (239) a bolt or weld in?
