Yes, I have two 37’s with block off plates, and plan to go with different water pumps & try center outlet heads to see if cooling improves

I have two also. One in a 36 with head pumps and one in a 38 with block pumps. Great motor.


Think that was GM and skip that had the 37 block with 4 pumps. It was a gimmick. But neat. I've seen it before, but have not retained a picture of it. Certainly exists.

If you want to really increase the block cooling. When the heads are off take a long screw driver and a coat hanger and probe the water passages. Flush with water. Special attention to the rear of the block.
