They are distinguishable from originals if you know what you are looking at in the spoke area. Other than that, I think they are a value -especially if you are paying someone to straighten, bodywork, & paint your originals. We have probably installed 6-8 sets, and the customers have been satisfied with the look and the performance.

Please tell me about these new 21 inch wheels. Who has them, cost, availability, etc? I hate the original ones when mounting tires and tubes. I have a pair of new tires in the shop now.

Thanks Brent, and Pete.
Arnold see you at Albany
Reason for my question, I have spent the last month or so sorting a good set for my pickup,I think I checked maybe 12 wheels, only ended up with two, and they needed work. the rest went in the bin, my thoughts ,new wheels would be a big expense , but peace of mind.

Lawrie, I have just bought 2X21" wheels from a friend in the US who has loads of Model A stuff. Because he is a friend, he took the time to go through his stash looking for a couple of good ones for me. By the time he found 2, he had discarded dozens. While all of this was happening, I took a half decent one to a car wheel repair business here in Melbourne. They have been repairing and straightening wheels for decades. The guy I spoke to did not have a nice word for these early Ford wheels. He said that they were all cr@p untill they started usung the heavier and stronger hubs in 1932.
You did well to find 2 decent ones out of only a dozen or so.

Brent, what are the differences? What I read a long while ago is that the bottom of the rim was not welded together like the originals.

At $450 each, they better make my coffee and automatically park for me.
