As a group we stayed at the Day Motor Inn on Chocolate Ave. In 1986 we were the first 2 rooms out of 6 that was ready. $139.00 per nite. Since then[2010] it went to $200.00 + tax per nite. We were leaving for dinner on a Friday nite and a group of baseball kids came in for the weekend to play in the little league .I asked the parent what he was paying for the day..... $159.00 and with a 2 week notice ! We were told there was no rooms to be had every year ! So we removed ourself and moved to Holiday Inn Express right off 81 [Harrisburg] which is the same road leading right in front of Giant Stadium. They got smart too ! 3 years ago we paid $159.00 first nite , $149.00 second nite and so on until it was costing us $129.00 per nite [4] .Now we left this year at $159.00+tax every nite. Still a nice place and when you think about it ,,,its just to sleep . Better then in the mid 70's to 80's sleeping on the field and a shower in the football locker rooms..WE will be there again, God willing....
