Oil leak from the area of the light switch connection. (29ccpu) Can the end be pulled off to check for the newer housing end plate (with tube) without disassembly and removal from the truck? Thanks! I know I will lose the oil.

Yes, after the light switch and the spider on the rod is off there are only the 2 bolts, if you have the tube it needs to be soldered, I made mine, the tube I got from a model airplane shop --they had an assortment of thinwall tubing in short lengths ---but that was 25+ years ago, now it seems that nobody "makes" anything, they just buy it done,
