2" lowering blocks

Im looking for these blocks for my 49 Tudor. Shoebox-Central is out of stock, Wester Chassis has them but they have 9/16 centering pins (I can turn them down), anyone know of a supplier that sells them that are 2" wide? I would make some but Im short on time. If not I'll be going with the Wester Chassis ones.

A different way to lower the rear body is to remove a few spring leaves from the rear spring. Someone before me did that to my '47. They removed the shortest two leaves and turned them upside down in the stack of leaves so they don't function. My '47 came with tube shocks and they don't seem to affected by lowering the car body. Clearance between the axle and rubber pads on the body frame is about 2 inches and I've never had the car "bottom-out" .... not that I drive over rough roads anyway. I'm not familiar with the '49's but while you're at it be sure your have a sway bar at the rear. Mine is stock so I assume the later years also had them.

I've made them myself using 2 inch square heavy wall steel. Use a round allen bolt for the pin.

What is it like getting the rear wheels off with 2" lowering blocks?

Bumper jack, probably no problem; floor jack, on some cars you might need to jack up the body too. One car we had to unhook the shock to get room; but that had 3" or 4" blocks.

Depends on the car and the opening on the rear fender. It is easy on a car with a full wheel opening on the rear fender , but not easy on a car like a 49-51 Ford.

Thanks, I know that I am jumping in with a question on someone else's post, but I have two 1950 shoebox Fords, one of which, I would also like to fit with 2" lowering blocks.

I don't want to make impossible to change a flat tyre on the side of the road.

I believe I have a set of 2” blocks in my garage , should probably put my hands on them before responding ut thought I’d touch base with you ,giving me a contact and reminder to look !
