2 door help

I am converting a 52 merc from 4 door to 2 door and was hoping some of you good folks would measure the width front to back of an original 2 door merc or ford so I can make mine the same size. maybe 2 measurements one at the bottom and one just below the door handle. Thanks Lou..
 
Hi; I wouldn't even start this modification without having the new doors in hand. The B pillar has to be located exactly right. Newc
 
I would search for 2 door doors but my 4 door doors are so nice and completely rust free that i believe making them longer will be less work than fixing and reskinning other doors.
 
I'm no expert for sure, but aren't '52-'54 Ford and '52-'54 Merc tudor doors all basically the same? If so, there should be a bunch of 'em out there. Have you placed a wanted ad in the swap meet here? I've had very good luck doing that. Shipping may be a problem, but check Fastenal" and "Greyhound". You may find something reasonable.
