Does that mean I shouldn't comment on just how exciting that is?

Craig , look forward to meeting up .
West coast , there has been no negative comments , I find 99.9% are genuinelly interested & very helpful on this site , I have met a lot of folk who post here & some that just look, Met some increditable folk in 47 years of the hobby, We are each just a little differant towards the hobby , The Model A club caters for all aspects unlike some clubs, Im just thankful i bought a Model A.
Now the good news , Yes JB fixed the tiny chip near the slinger & no more leaks , Its now ready to box up & return it to the place it was born, Mean time ill work on NO 1 engine ready for 2016, Thanks folk your help & advise its appreciated, New Zealand National meet coming up in a few weeks , Im sure the Kiwis going will post pictures , some 160 entrants i beleive ,

Now that cracks me up ! A blower and a Holley !

I've been running blower motors since I was 15, but, never considered anything like that. I like that.

Good luck with it.

My son did a thing on facebook , i have no idea how to post it here , If you are in Nevada or Utah in August listen you will hear it ??? for a close view turn up at the salt, By the way looking for donations to help feed it & me, The rain & Autum has arrived in NZ,

Marco, Just to satisfy my curiousity, are you being sarcastic or just jerking my chain in fun?

Derek;

What are your plans since Bonneville has cancelled? I am was telling a friend today that I am packing for Wendover and he told me it was cancelled. That has to be a real problem, eh? I guess we will just go drive around for a week or so in the west.

My son and I were looking forward to meeting you.

Craig

Up date , Yes speedweek is caned , The boys did there best but its off, However we will still be doing the trip , just get to see more sites & 3 swap meets, The engine sits in uncle Hank ( 30 cpe) built by cyril Leon ex AZ , Was run passed tec at El Mirage last week, few small jobs to be done , Cyril says it sounds like a Honda V tec, Currently running twin 97,s, once we had a trial run to check all we would have unbolted the carbs & bolted the blower set up on , This is only the back up engine , the real one will be ready for 2016, Totally gutted no getting a run , after 2 years of planning , all the work Cyril did, BUT if you hear a strange noise coming from near Lake Isabella CA mid August GUESS what, ?? Meantime back to restoring a 28 closed cab p/u & converting a 31 c/cab from LHD to RHD for a custmer , Will be at Sacramento swap in few days , reno swap & Turlock , & any pub we can fined drowing our sorrows, along with 550 other entrants , Im blaming JB & RM & PR for getting me into this side of the hobby , Thanks Guys , Still chilly in NZ

Chin up Derek - sounds like you'll get to play with it even if not as originally intended. Always next year. Never been cancelled 3 times in a row has it?

Meanwhile closer to home I've bought this one for my project

It's a Wade RO34 as originally fitted to a Commer "Knocker" 2 stroke diesel. They were popular in UK before 4-71's etc became available and/or they and the modern stuff got more affordable. Suit a 3 to 5 litre engine but will only go to 5k revs. Many showed up on Essex V6's and the Rover/Buick V8 typically. No idea how I'm going to mount it yet.

A recent contact is using one of the smaller RO20's on an engine destined for a Peking to Paris car. Sits nicely on the intake Sammy makes for his Weber conversion

Onwards and upwards - see you later in the year I hope.

Juggs

PS the link to Darrin's facebook video of your number 2 engine that I posted above seems to work. Not sure if you have to be a facebook member to be able to see it though. If that's the number 2 engine, what's the spec on number 1?
