I know this forum is for mostly older vehicles but I'm sure some of you have stuff from the Duraspark era. Anyways I did some preventive maintenance on this since the radiator was bad, so I replaced the entire cooling system components as well as the fuel pump, alternator and regulator. After getting it back together it wouldn't start except for one time which it ran for 5 seconds and quit. So I put a new distributor and ignition module in it. Tried another coil also but still won't try to fire. It is getting spark and fuel. It didn't backfire as if it had jumped time or broke a chain, so I'm about out of ideas.

is there some little nick nack that I've overlooked???

I think it is your Timing chain take your rotor cap off and remove number 1 plug and bring number 1 piston to T.D.C. MAKE SURE the rotor turns and see where the rotor is pointing when the piston is at T.D.C.

Go to the local library and look up a book for it. Those books may not be able to be borrowed. Copy the pages about the distributor, and mod box, as well as pages for trouble shooting.
