I recently bought a 1973 F-250 4x4 which I'm going to rebody my 56 International on to. The 73 has reworked 390 ahead of a C6. I needs power steering or I need much bigger arms. Anyone know what years are bolt ons for this series?.....do's and don'ts?.....cautions?

Thanks,
Ken

I would look for the stock set up for that truck. I worked on the motor line where those were built at that time. Very few went past without power steering. Search the junk yards in the south and west, they should be able to sell you the pump and brackets, the crankshaft pulley, and the steering gearbox.

If my memory serves me well, the '73 F250 4x4's used the earlier style two piece slave cylinder power steering in lieu of the internal, all in the gear box type of power steering.
You might be well advised to step up to the '78-79 F250 4 x 4 power steering.
