I thought I knew alot about Falcon's. I knew they made the Futura which was the base version, and of course the Sprint.

For Falcon's Built in 63, the Sprint was a complete package. 260, Tachometer on dash, Brown Steering Wheel, Full Trim Package along with Rocker Trim.

Falcon's built in 64, the Sprint was no longer a package but optional items. With the Mustang due to be released, the higher ups thought that it was better to make the Sprint items available as ala carte for the Falcon. So you could get a Sprint, The body badges and Brown Steering Wheel came with it, but you could add say the tacho but not the rocker trim.

Well I was looking for a Falcon Convertible and found one in New York, but the owner says its a Sport, and there were only 2700 some made. Its a 260 2bbl Auto Car. Rangoon Red, White Top, Black Trim with Buckets.

Could not find anything about them, the only reason I know more about the Sprints was meeting a man who had a Hard Top at the Back to the 50s Run in St Paul two years ago, and he had all the documentation and brochures for the day.

Interesting stuff none the less.

According to the Standard Catalog of the 64 Ford Falcon Sprint was a sub series of the Futura. 4278 made and no model conv called sport. The Futura line had sport conv of which 2980 were made, body style #12. The Sprint conv body style was #14. Futura cost $2586 and the Sprint cost $2680 both 5 passenger, however 626 Sprints came with bench seats. The 64 price was $157. less than the 63
