1961 galaxie

Does any one know if a 61 Ford full size car uses a gasket on the outside door handle and key lock assy.

I would say yes also But when I removed lock assemblies and handles there were none. I have tried 3 or 4 of the normal suppliers and they are not listed for 60 or 61 full size Fords. They are for 62 but that is a different style handle.

I found this picture, and I would venture that there are none. It is pretty clear that there is none around the lock cylinder and the forward attachment point of the handle.

PS: If there are multiple and secure attachment points to keep the handle from moving I would be more confident without a gasket/pad.

What a great looking door handle on the ‘61!

These stylish Door Handles appear to be the same on both the 2 door and 4 door models. However, as the door on a 4 door is shorter, it would appear that the "fin" (including the Door Handle) is longer on the 4 door models? What do you think?
