PRICE DROP! *8,500*
very serious about selling, I have found a 30 coupe that I cant live with out
1959 Corsair 2dr hardtop, W9UW717239 63B DH1 39 29M 4 5
361 runs great, daily driver, 3spd cruise-o-matic. Very solid very dry car, 100% complete, stainless and chrome are in solid drivers condition, interior is very nice, has mercury AC that works but needs recharged and a belt. PS and PB work good. The original vacuum advance went bad so it has a new distributor but still have the old one, was cheaper to replace the distributor than the vacuum advance. Has a new holly carb on it too but I still have the autolite. I have never had good luck rebuilding carbs. Maybe you will
out side of that it is all Edsel.
Still has the original mat and cardboard sides in truck with nice jack instruction stickers. Original spare with hubcap too.
Small 1"x 1" area where rust is forming from a small dent on the bottom or pass rear rocker, would be an easy fix and can do so if you wanted, I just didn't want to disturb the integrity of the car. Has town and country radio, auto seek still works, has E badges on the exhaust tips, bumpers have a few areas where chrome has popped, can have those redone for you as well. door handles are diver quality All other pot metal is in solid shape, trouble spots like the grille and tail lights are in very good shape, would obviously need to be redone to be perfect but are nice with no big pits. The side rear view mirrors were rechomed by p/o. I would say they are driver quality, they just chromed over some of the pitting and one mirror got cracked in the process. rear view mirror has lost some silvering like all of them.
Window frames are nice, pass door glass has a crack in the corner.
P/O put speakers in the package tray otherwise interior is very nice and unmolested.
Aluminum chin is perfect, pickle is in really good shape. Paint is driver quality, looks like it may have been repainted a long time ago as the paint is lacquer, would not take much to have a full resto show car, paint and some rechrome on the bumpers and door handles. Was told from. p/o this was a show car and was lovingly taken care of until that gentleman passed away around 10 years ago, supposedly his children had no interest in the car and that's when it began to show some age. Still has a old show badge from Dayton Ohio
I would say this is the shape a 59 Edsel would have been in if you found one that had been well maintained on a used car lot in the late 60's.
Also doors shut great, gaps are good windows roll up and down perfectly as well as seal up correctly, no leaks!
From best as I can tell the car would list in the 13 to 14k range.
Make me a serious cash offer and let's talk.
Open to trades as well.
I like most anything pre 64
Open to all makes and models
Esp pre 41 trucks, coupes, and maybe even the right sedan.
you would be hard pressed to find a cleaner late 50's 2 dr hard top that you could daily drive for less...
PM me with any questions you may have?
