Hi all,

I'm new to the forum, thanks for all your help!
I've just purchased a 56 Sedan Delivery, converting it to be an ambulance for our veterinary hospital :)

I'd love any info on what other 56 Ford interior parts, dashboard parts, etc that would be usable on this vehicle...

Any info would be much appreciated

I have a '55 Courier sedan delivery which underwent a major body-off-frame restoration from 1996-2000. this one came from the factory with a 272 V8, 162 hp engine/Fordomatic and even more oddly, had the chrome plated decorative bezels at each of the dashboard control knobs which was not customary of the Mainline series cars. However the dashboard was painted with the usual tan color that all the '55 Courier interiors were painted and had the bare wood floor panels in the back which I duplicated with new finished and polyurethane coated exterior-grade plywood.
I removed the Masonite sideboards in the cargo area and replaced them with luan plywood, finished on one side, stained with light oak stain and clear poly coated on the exposed side to match the wood floors.
This car had the one-piece back door instead of the tailgate and window gate, but, in '55, they were offered in both options.
Don't know what this car was originally used for. There were no holes for special emergency lights or beacons and the dashboard did not have any options beyond what you might find in any Customline or Fairlane dashboard. It was equipped with the Magic-aire fresh air heater/ventilation system and had the electric clock, but no radio.
Can't help much with special purpose options as my car did not appear to have been ordered with any beyond what you might normally find in a Customline car.
