1956 Country Sedan Window Regulator Question.

I have a ‘56 Country Sedan that is in need of all 4 window regulators. I’m assuming that the window regulators out of the front of any ‘56 2 or 4 door model would work and the rear regulators out of any ‘56 4 door models would work for the Country Sedan. Any idea if my assumption is correct? Also, does anyone know if other model year regulators work in the ‘56?

It does not differentiate between them other the man/electric. Both 2dr and 4dr have same part number B5A7023206A-7A. It does show 4dr Victoria as being different in the rear with part number B6A5727000A-1A.

I have two parts cars I can see if regulators are still good on. One is a 55 mercury 4 door sedan the other is a 56 Mercury wagon. Cars are not at my house so not sure when I can check condition.

The window regulators are multi-piece.

ILL's are attached. You will most likely have to remove the interior panels to diagnose exactly what you need. You will also need a 56 FORD WORKSHOP MANUAL.

Your BODY TYPE CODE is 79 (4DR SW).

NOTE - Of course they do not show large enough to read. Maybe try to print or I can E-MAIL them to you.

Yeah, I have the manual and I have removed, semi restored one rear regulator so I am familiar with the procedure I was mainly wondering about which model years would be interchangeable..
