1956/57 continental Mark II

Does anyone consider 56/57 Continental Mk II's in this section? I'm usually in the Model A section but also have a couple of Mark II's.

Here is a pic of a '56 taken in my retired Mechanic friend's garage. He was working out several engine issues on the 368. It was one of the neatest cars I have ever seen. 2 door coup that gave the idea of a stretched T'bird. Really the only thing better I've come accross is a '42 Cadillac that recently showed up locally.

Remember hearing Ford lost $1000.00 on each one of those 56 Lincoln they sold. But really a nice car.

My question would be, which forum would you go to if you had a '52 or '53 Lincoln. Those had OHV V8's, so they dont fit in the 53 & older forum. Those guys are all about flatheads.

I thought I'd post a couple of pictures of my '56 Continental Mark II. This was my mother's car which was completely restored in the mid-70's.

These were really neat cars for 1956. I think it would have been cool if Ford built some of these with a 4 speed on the floor.

Those Lincolns may be the coolest factory cars built ever. They should be welcome here.

They are right up there in my book too. Thanks for the pics Gary. Apparently each one was hand made. Little tasks like removing transmission is a major chore.

Is there a better looking 50's car can these Continentals? Not in my opinion.
Great photos, nice car. I am sure there are more than me envious of your car.
Regards
