1955 T-Bird resto

Just signed up over here, have been seeking out a old style MB where there is more knowledge and understanding than BS. I'm a '71 year old Mechanic / Machine operator / Driver that has been driving Pre 1979 cars since 1968. My daily drivers are all Pre '79. I have been planning My End Game for a couple of years now and have decided on rebuilding my 26x40 shop to do my last 2 resto's. The shop is about 95% done now, so I will be starting soon. My daily Drivers at the moment are a '76 CJ7 for the summers and beach,( it has no top or doors), and my '65 Econoline pickup for the rest of the time. My last 2 additions (God permitting), will be a 1955 T-Bird that I picked up Jan of 2023, and a 1966 F-250 I've been modifying for a few years now. T-Bird will be first priority.

Welcome and ask away.
Also note an easy way of searching for Tbird specific forums is to go through google.

Ya , I tried that, but all the ones I found get little to no traffic. People seem to be moving to Social media like Facebook, and I just don't like the format. MB's are much easier for me.

Welcome aboard Eric! In my travels, I have found the 'Barn to have the most daily activity. There are some T-Bird guys here, & some are quite active. The amount of knowledge the members on here have is incredible! I have been working on old Fords for over 50 yrs., & seldom does a week go by that I don't learn something new. There are some national T-Bird clubs that you might want to join. There might even be a local chapter near you.
Good luck! F F

welcome aboard! The trend for many of the forums and online groups to move to social media has been quite the circus mcgirkus. So much misinformation gets passed around, arguments and bickering take place, and all the rest. Some good comes from it sometimes but that is not the day to day case.

But - in forums like these there is a tendency for the drama to be absent. Lots of knowledgeable, helpful people on here that I've never met. I highly recommend it!

Eric,
Welcome! Hope you find what you need on the Ford Barn. Pictures of your project and shop would help too!
Regards,
Chris and Cheryl

Welcome, PICTURES!!!!!!!! Don't forget there are different forum groups like the '57 ford forum' that will encompass all 57 for cars, Y Block forum (if you have the original engine in it)

Thanks All. I'm sure I'll be spending some time here in the near future. I should be done with my "Shop Restoration" in a week or so, maybe even this weekend. And we'll start pulling the '55 apart.
