To any that know-
I have a 55 montclair that needs engine paint. It is currently a yellow valve cover and air cleaner, then the iron is a brownish yellow.
Is this correct?
If it is correct where would you get this color?

Thanks
Sam

I think there were several different paint schemes for the '55 Merc engines, apparently it depends on where they were built. I have a good idea that the one I bought for my '56 Ford was built in Cleveland but I read that they were also built in Dearborn and Windsor - but I may be mistaken. I've seen pukey green ones, gold, yellow...

My block was a kind-of greenish/gold with cream colored covers.
I tried to find the correct colors too.

Finally ended up with something close. I used 2 different color Rustoleum in rattle-can for the block, and a near-match, also Rustoleum on the covers. ECZ-B manifold so it's '57 red.
