1955 Ford Thunderbird

Perhaps a road trip showing the car at the National CTCI Thunderbird convention in Knoxville Tenn , Aug 15th - 18th could get you the sale you are looking for ?

Lots of T Bird buyers , sellers and affectionados at those events.

Or - also list it in the CTCI publication of "The Early Bird" for some specialised T Bird exposure.

I"ve always had good luck with a listing in Hemmings.

Just a suggestion

I agree with Oldmics. Your not hitting a large crowd of folks here like you would on a sale site or a T-bird specific site.

The side chrome looks cool. I guess the porthole windows are a matter of personal taste. I hear that when you go with the wire wheels on 55 and 56 the skits have to come off.

'57 and later T-Birds too, and it depends on the wheel offset and size of the center spinner.
Unwanted side-to-side movement of the rear axle can figure in there too. There is very little clearance.

If you're looking at the red '55 back in comment #2 those are the optional wire style wheel covers, not wire wheels. And they fit fine under the fender skirts.

NO DISRESPECT INTENDED

Well, I'll tell 'ya ... :o

This is an absolutely beautiful BIRD, but the one thing that spoils it for me (other than I cannot afford it) is the modification(s) done to the top with the quarter/opera glass. It just ruins the whole car (to me) and the first thing a buyer will think is how much a replacement top is going to cost.
