1955 Ford Sunliner (floor shifter)

I saw a 1955 Ford Sunliner for sale that had a 4 speed shifter on the floor. How much does that hurt the value or does it? Where would you get the correct parts to convert it back to the column shifter?

its 50-50 on the value, it depends on who wants the car, street rodder or a guy who wants it original, same money just different type of buyer, and that is one of the parts that is not reproduced, you will have to find a donor car

If it's done neatly, I would leave it alone. I, personally would rather have the 4speed.

You could replace the four speed with a five speed to keep the fun but get an overdrive in the deal.
