1955 Ford Customline 4 Dr Solid Project 272 V8 Overdrive - $1500 in Parts Added!
The car came from the widow of the car owner and was purchased by me last Fall. Until then, it had been in storage for about 30 years. The last plate on it is from 1979. I have a clear up to date title in my name and the plates are good until November of this year and now in storage.
Most of the rust you can see in the pictures is surface rust. The exceptions would be in the lower fenders and the dog legs. The floors are solid but have more surface rust. I did find one very small hole about 1/8" behind the driver's seat. I put the car on a lift before I bought it to check the floors. The trunk floor is also solid. The body otherwise is very straight with no major bumps or bruises. The windshield and driver's window need replaced. All the doors, hood and trunk open easily.
Seats are all there but would need recovered. I removed the rubber floor mat because it was all dry rotted. Radio and heater are there as well as the ignition and trunk keys.
The engine is a 272 and is stuck but complete. Transmission is a 3-speed overdrive. The brakes were all stuck so I removed those parts and saved them so the car now rolls easily. Wheels and tires are just rollers.
I am adding all the parts below with the purchase of the car.
