The original 292 mounts should work fine. You might have to turn them around for the 289 to move the engine back towards the firewall, but I'm not sure. I had to turn them for an FE installation in my '56.
You should be able to modify your trans mount to work with the 4-speed. I used my original trans mount, but I had to modify it to work with the 4 speed. Pretty straight forward swap. No big fears.

292 mounts dont fit.you can use 302 truck mounts.you will have to put about 1/2 inch shim between the block and mount or it will sit to low.i done this swap.

Go to your favorate parts store and get Anchor parts 2527-Left, and 2526-Right. No spacer needed. They are for newer Mustang/Linc MK VII. Of course you need a pan with a front sump if the engine doesn't have one already.

Parklane you are one number off, should be ANCHOR 2726 & 2725 quite a few guys in my HAMB group have done this swap and we have learned a few things about the '54-56 Fords not all the factory frame mounts are dead on click on this for a solution:http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?do=discuss&discussionid=22415&pp=20&page=2 check out the pictures by"the stig" notice how he slotted and elongated the holes in the frame mount this will solve any alignment problem, also should you want the headers shown in the pics they are Hedman part # 88400 For some reason He did not use the mounts listed above and did some "jerryriggin' " that is not needed the mounts listed here are what you want which is what I used.

I stand corrected, I did not use the stock 292 mounts, I used the FE mounts that were on the FE that I installed.
