1955 Fairlane door moulding

Hi,

I have for my 55 Vickie the "checkmark" door molding. (not circled in the picture)
But it does not go all the way across the door.
When I search the internet AI says that the door molding is only one piece.
But I also found a picture that has two pieces per door (older ebay listing)
My question is: is the door molding two pieces per door or one piece?

And if it is two pieces: where can I get the pieces circled in the picture?

Thnx!

Grtz,

You are working on the RS?

BTW -

The BODY TRIM CODE(S) for the 55 CROWN are -

6A4 - STEEL TOP
64B - TRANSPARENT TOP

Hopefully the ILL will show below. You may have to enlarge them or print them out -

R and L MLDGS (rear) are the same.

AI is wrong... for all Fairlane models that front door trim is made of TWO pieces.

I do not believe any reproduction outfits carry that stainless trim for the door, best to look at swap meets or to get on one of the Facebook groups and post you are looking for a set. The Crown Victoria Association may be your best bet on that one.

RS - RIGHT (PASSENGER) SIDE

LS - LEFT (DRIVER) SIDE

Designing it as a 2-oiece allows FOMOCCO to save money as the front section alone will fit more body styles.

The short mldgs are the same, L and R.

I gave an EvilBay source above (take off)). Did you see it?

Yes, I've seen the Ebay post.
I asked the seller if he has the trim for both sides.
No answer still.
@Mercman: Thnx for the picture, it shows clearly the two pieces!

grtz,
