1954 rear springs

I am replacing rear springs on my 54. I ordered new bolts and bushings from Macs but the bushings seem way too soft. I am thinking of going to energy suspension poly bushings. Has anyone tried these with positive results? I was amazed to see how the front attach bolt is only fixed on one side with a collared bolt, seems odd but I supposed they had a reason.

I had the hard plastic bushings in my 54. Took them out after two summers, only because I didn't have time to take them out the first summer. They squeak. Even when well greased, they squeak. Stock bushings work fine and last years. If you race a lot, step up to aluminum, open headers will muffle the squeaks.
