I am researching my recently inherited 1954 ford f100 and trying to find more information on the engine size? I am pretty sure the truck was manufacture in Windsor, Canada? I am thinking its a 239 cid flathead V8?

VIN#7AE83AFIR14465
Serial#FAE83AHR-14465

ENGINE # C1BA

Any information would be helpful.

If it's not a flathead, it still is a 239 (1st year Y Block), at least that is the way they came from the factory.

The F-100's for Canada were Mercury's, the ones destined for U. S. were Fords

Yes, pickups and cars (ford and Merc) made in Canada were still flathead V8's in 1954. USA used the Y-Block 239 in Fords and Y-Block 256 in Mercury.

Canada started using Y-blocks in 1954 but it wasn't in the strictly Ford vehicles or light trucks. Mercury (cars only) and Monarchs had the 256 Y-block.
