I have an early take off, mint condition, Ford pickup tailgate. It is red with white raised letters and measures approx 54 13/16 inches wide by approx 20 3/4 inches tall, edges to edges. No rust at all, original red paint, found two very small dings, about the size of a nickle or dime each. I know there were a couple different size tailgates over the years, so I cannot identify exactly which truck this came from, I'm not into this era Ford. Could be for the 3/4 ton pickup. The reproductions from Dennis Carpenter and Mac's run $400 new, plus shipping. I want just $100 for this original Ford tailgate. Why pay retail for reproduction when you can have genuine Ford sheetmetal for half the price? Pickup in Simi Valley, California, would be nice, but now have built wood shipping box for shipping at your expense. Thank You.

Updated ad.

Now that someone in Ohio convinced me he wanted to buy this tailgate, I got a friend to help me build a box to ship it. Then the buyer never sent the check as promised, so the tailgate is sitting here in a shipping box waiting for a buyer. I'm too ill for this nonsense, and I sure don't have kind words for the person who put me through that. But, we all know, flakes are everywhere, that's life. OK, I vented.

This is a nice Ford tailgate with original paint. Please read 10/10/2010 ad for measurements. I need to get rid of stuff that I will never use. It's heavy, maybe 65 punds with the shipping box. Price is still $200, plus shipping.

I'm not interested , but thats a great looking tailgate at a very fair price. Unfortunately shipping will kill it for most people .

For those who may be interested it can be shipped through Greyhound cheaper then with FedEx or UPS but will have to be picked up at the nearest station,I had large parts for my 66 F250 shipped with them to Ohio from California

Thanks JunyardJeff for that addition. I'll be glad to ship via Greyhound if that will help a buyer.

Back to the top with price drop to $150, plus shipping. It's in the way, repros are $400 plus shipping.

Joe measured and found this tailgate too wide for his F-100. Must be for 3/4 ton. Price drop again, must get this out of the way. Dug it out again, too ill to deal with. $100 plus shipping. It is boxed and ready to go. Please review measurements in original ad.
