I have an early take off, mint condition, Ford pickup tailgate. It is red with white raised letters and measures approx 54 13/16 inches wide by approx 20 3/4 inches tall, edges to edges. No rust at all, original red paint, found two very small dings, about the size of a nickle or dime each. I know there were a couple different size tailgates over the years, so I cannot identify exactly which truck this came from, I'm not into this era Ford. The reproductions from Dennis Carpenter and Mac's run $400 new, plus shipping. I want just $200 for this original Ford tailgate. Why pay retail for reproduction when you can have genuine Ford sheetmetal for half the price? Pickup in Simi Valley, California only, as I prefer not to ship at this time due to health issue. Thank You.

Well, I thought half the price of a new reproduction tailgate was a good price for mint, original sheetmetal. I guess I was wrong on that because of the lack of response. So, I am open to offers. I do want to make space, and I won't ever need this tailgate. If interested, make a fair offer.
