1952 Pickup 5 star hood trim?

Hey Fellas,

E-bay sells the replacement 5-star hood badges and center bars but I never see the upper and lower bars for sale. Does anyone know if the '48 and '49 hood trim bars can be cut down to fit? Are they the same profile to fit over the tabs or did they make a completely new part? Thanks for any input...
 
The 48-50 spears are flat/flattish, while the 51 and 52 spears have a raised profile down their middle. I guess a peaked ridge, I'll call it, down their length that allows them to cover and blend with the badge of the 52 and horse shoe of the 51. The 51 and 52 sets themselves are different too. Different lengths and different moldings on their trailing tips. Do yourself a Google Images search and you'll see the differences. Stu
